Pensioner Education Supplement

The Pensioner Education Supplement (PES) is a payment available to certain categories of pensioner to assist them with full-time study. In some cases, the PES is paid to pensioners undertaking part-time study. The payment is $62.40 a fortnight and is free of income and assets tests. Fares Allowance may be payable to PES recipients studying away from home. Tertiary students may also be able to obtain a loan under the Student Financial Supplement Scheme.
